Al Gore Is A Genius, OR NOT?
Some knucklehead yesterday explained to me that AL Gore is a genius and that his “science” is irrefutable. I didn’t do what I normally would because this was a college aged fellow, I asked why he thought Gore was a genius. He started with “he graduated from Harvard”. At that point it was fight or flight. After mentioning that Ted Kaczynski was also a Harvard graduate, I chose flight, who is Ted Kaczynski?” was the reply. Dealing with a mush head like this and thinking there would be an honest exchange of fact was not even a glimmer of a thought in my mind. I did immediately think that Teddy Kaczynski and Al Gore have a lot more in common than their degrees from Harvard.
Here are a few comparisons:
They both documented their passions for their causes in writing. Gore included pictures but the theme and plots were the same, I will delve into this below.
Ted Kaczynski lived in a “green” shack in Montana with no plumbing or electricity he didn’t preach about his tiny carbon footprint. Al Gore lives in a mansion that uses more energy per month than most of us do in a year. Al Gore preaches about tiny carbon footprints.
Al Gore majored in government. The president of Harvard at the time was Nathan Pusey. Ted Kaczynski majored in math at Harvard and earned a PhD at University of Michigan. Professors say Ted was brilliant. Al Gore was not deemed brilliant by anybody but himself.
Ted Kaczynski solved equations that professors could not solve and advanced math. Al Gore established his own branch of science and diverted from the findings of Roger Revelle his mentor who disputes Al Gore’s science.
Al Gore’s writings are a rambling attack on industry. He called the science absolute and those that disagreed were compared to holocaust deniers. Ted Kazynski’s writings are a rambling attack on industry.
Ted Kaczinski targeted his victims based on his warped view of the impact of industry (the industrial revolution) on society. Al Gore is indiscriminate about who he kills by foisting his warped view of the impact of industry on modern society. It seems this is where Gore and Kaczynski’s philosophies converge.
Ted Kaczynski was brilliant and is behind bars for life. Al Gore is not quite as “brilliant and unfortunately is a free man despite the harm he has done to the global economy as a whole.
Kaczinski was cold and “calculating” in the fundamental sense of the word. Gore is cold and “political” in the worst sense of that word.
So we have a brilliant mathematician behind bars for his actions because his expression of his distaste for industry was illegal and then we have a not so brilliant political hack winning a Nobel Prize and an Academy Award for his distaste for industry. OH MY!
